Mrs. Edna Grace Chastain Bellamy, age 86, of 743 McGee Road, Canon, wife of Carey Bellamy, died Sunday April 27, at Cobb Memorial Hospital, Royston, Georgia.
Born in Franklin County on July 25, 1921, Mrs. Bellamy was the daughter of the late Edward Hascal and Julia Cathran Chastain. She was a former employee of Carwood Mfg. and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband: Carey Bellamy; daughter Linda Bellamy McGee and husband Howard of Canon; brothers: Grady Chastain of Winder and Ray Chastain of Royston; grandchildren: Tracy Erttzberger Parsons and husband, Jack of Bowersville, Carey Craft and Kim Gerding of Canon, Chrystal Ayers of Lavonia, and Kelly McGee of Carnesville; and eleven great–grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Wanda Bellamy Ertzberger; brothers: Homer Chastain and Bruce Chastain; sisters: Nell Chastain and Eva Sue Chastain; and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Lavonia, officiated by Rev. Davis Lacey and Rev. Kenneth Jones. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will be at 743 McGee Rd., Canon, GA and will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening, April 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Lavonia, GA.
