Ms. Grace Akins Brown Davis, 78, of 46 Hart Terrace, Hartwell, died Friday, February 23, 2007 at Hart Care Center.

Born September 13, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Lee Akins and Bertha Jordan Akins.She was a homemaker and a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son; Johnny Brown of Hartwell, brother Verlyn Akins of Hartwell, sisters Myra Carver of Hartwell, Helen Hornick of Hartwell, Myrlene Hilley of Hartwell, one grandchild, Monica Robinson and one great-grandchild, Kinzley Robinson.She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, James F. Brown and second husband, Howard Davis and by son Carl Brown, and by her brothers Bennie Frank Akins and Emory Akins and by sister Drucilla Bray.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Nancy Hart Memorial Park.Rev. Randall Starrett will officiate.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the graveside.The family is at their respective homes.
