Mr. Grady Isom, 84, of Hartwell, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 at his home.

Born on July 2, 1936 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Fred N. Isom and Irona Carnes Isom.Mr. Isom worked at Gips Manufacturing in the cutting room. He was also a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, and a veteran of the US Army.

Survivors include his wife: Jeanette Hardin Isom of the home; son: Michael Isom (Denise) of Lavonia; daughter: Tracy Bramlett (Allen) of Fair Play, SC; and three grandchildren: Will Isom, Kate Isom-Carter (Brad), and Dalton Bramlett. Mr. Isom is preceded in death by his parents and sister: Nettie Sue Thrasher.

Because of the current conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family will not be having a formal visitation.They ask that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers in the coming days and weeks.

Mr. Isom will lie in state at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday for anyone to come by and pay their respects. The family is at the home. Anyone can leave their condolences and best wishes on Grady's tribute page.

Graveside services for Mr. Grady Isom will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Everyone will be asked to practice Social Distancing and may want to bring a lawn chair.

Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 105 West Park Dr, Suite C, Athens GA 30606.
