Mr. Grady Irwin Patrick, age 67, died Monday, January 10, 2011 at Stephens County Hospital.
Born November 12, 1943, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late C. I. Patrick and Bessie Davis Patrick. He was a truck driver with Dowell Trucking Company. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Ila. Mr. Patrick sang in a family gospel group called The Patrick Family with his brothers and nephews and was an Elvis tribute artist.
He is survived by his wife: Barbara Poole Patrick of the home; daughters & sons-in-law: Joy & Craig Crumpton and Melissa & Josh Britt all of Winder; son & daughter-in-law: Troy & Macarena Poole of Lavonia; grandchildren: Levi Joshua Britt, Cameron, Cyle, & Carrie Ann Poole; siblings: Mary McElreath, John Henry Patrick, Clem Patrick, Jerry Patrick, Sandra Bryant, Eva Brown, Bobby Patrick, Ronnie Patrick, Debbie Bullock, Dedra Beard, Donna Burkhalter, & Vickie Burkhalter.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Providence Baptist Church of Ila with Rev. Albert Vaughn and Bro. Mike Petty officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10:00 a.m.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the Providence Baptist Church Sound System Fund.
