Mr. Kevin Gregory "Greg" Brown, 57 of Lakeshore Drive, Hartwell, died Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Born on February 8, 1958 in Gainesville, GA, he was the son of Virginia Williams Brown and the late Bill Brown. Mr. Brown was a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley.He was a graduate of Young Harris College and the University of Georgia with a BS degree in Economics and was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha.Mr. Brown also was a member of the Hartwell First Methodist Church, past president of the Hartwell Kiwanis Club and former owner of the Southern Umbrella Co.

Survivors include his mother: Virginia Williams Brown of Gainesville; his wife: Anna Ridgway Brown; one son: Andrew "Drew" Brown of Hartwell; one daughter: Virginia "Ginny" Brown of Macon; two sisters: Joanna Crews of Gainesville and Merri Briscoe of Oakwood; two nieces and one nephew also survive. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his father: Bill Brown.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Dr. R. Allen Stewart officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church.
