Gregory McRoss "Greg" Chappelear, age 57, of Lavonia, died Friday, February 26, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospice House in Athens.
Born in Hart County, January 11, 1959, he was son of Imogene (Bowen) Chappelear and the late Neil McRoss Chappelear. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother: Imogene (Bowen) Chappelear of Lavonia; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Smith and Rev. Josh Harvill officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the service time.
