Mr. Gregory Shaw "Greg" Glenn, 74, of Hartwell, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.
Born on December 26, 1950 in Anderson SC, he was the son of the late Robert M. "Bob" Glenn Sr. and Dorothy Shaw "Dee" Glenn. Greg was a graduate of the University of West Georgia and a retired Plant Manager for Kodak. After retirement Greg was a self-employed handyman. Greg loved to play Guitar and played in several bands in his early years. He also loved boating, fishing and working in his yard. Greg was a member of the Hartwell First Methodist Church.
A chemist by degree and an engineer by trade, there was nothing that Greg couldn't fix and no one that he wouldn't help. His family called on him in times of need and he was always there. Greg greeted everyone he knew with a smile on his face and love in his heart. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his wife: Becky Kesler Glenn; two sons: Cory Glenn (Jessie Donahue) of Winder, GA and Tyler Glenn (Stephanie) of Decatur, GA; three brothers: Robert "Mac" Glenn and his wife Alice and Kenneth "Ken" Glenn (Tina Atkinson) all of Hartwell and William "Bill" Glenn and his wife Susan of Jupiter, FL; several nieces and nephews also survive:
Greg wished to be cremated and his ashes placed in the Shaw Family Plot at Northview Cemetery, Hartwell.
All Greg's family and friends are invited to come and celebrate his life Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Boathouse Grill, 149 Hartwell Marina Drive, Hartwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartwell First Methodist Church, 200 E. Howell Street, Hartwell GA 30643 or Hart County Humane Society, PO Box 1062, Hartwell GA 30643.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
