Mr. Guy Fain, Jr., age 67, of 412 Powderbag Creek Road, Hartwell, GA, died Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born October 26, 1941 in Hart County, GA, he was the son of the late Guy Fain, Sr.He is retired from Hanesworth Mill and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
He is survived by:Mother, Thelma Evans Fain of Hartwell, GA; Brothers, William Fain and Louie Fain of Hartwell, GA; Sisters, Mary Jo Dutton of Canon, GA, Nancy Ankerich of Bowersville, GA, Peggy Cawthon of Hartwell, GA, Linda Farmer of Hartwell, GA and Joyce Woodall of Hartwell, GA.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 24, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Tommy Cleveland and Mr. Tony Fowler will officiate. The body will be cremated following the service.
The family will receive friends Friday from 4 – 6:00 p.m. prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.Family requests no flowers; Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC29621 or Oak Bower Baptist Church Building Fund, 1589 Old Hwy. 29, Hartwell, GA30643.
