Mr. Guy Morris, 91, of 684 Morris Rd, Hartwell, died Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Hartwell Health Care Center.

Born on August 15, 1920 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Marion Robert Morris and Minnie Lee Brown Morris.He was a self-employed home builder and cabinet maker and a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lillie Ruth Holmes Morris of the home; two sons, Marion Morris and his wife Donna and Bobby Morris and his wife Sharon all of Hartwell; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.Mr. Morris was preceded in death by a brother, James Morris and six sisters, Ruth Jones, Bertha McKern, Gertrude Norris, Willie Sue Norris, Ella Morris and Mariree Morris.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Bill Davidson and Rev. Joe Black officiating.Burial will follow in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Friday.The family is at the home.
