Mrs. Guynell White Perry, 93, of 687 Milford Road, Hartwell, died Monday, November 28, 2011 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born on March 8, 1918 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Fred White and Florence Bridges White.She was retired from Hartwell Mills, where she worked in the Spinning Room and was former co-operator of Adams Service Station.She was a former member of the Hart County Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and set with the Elderly.She was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church and a former Sunday School Teacher.

Survivors include her son, Bill Perry of Jacksonville FL; two daughters, Gail Herring and Sandra Turner both of Hartwell; four grandchildren, Greg Turner, Frankie Herring, Freddy Herring and Michelle Thompson; eight great-grandchildren, Grayson & Gage Turner, Matthew Herring, Tara & Alex Thompson, Rachel Herring, Shelby Gregory and Raven Herring; two step great-grandchildren, Kala Lang and Taylor Sapp also survive.Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by her husband, George Jefferson Perry; four sisters, Minnie Freeman, Lizzie Mae Kellum, Alma Jones and Lilly White and five brothers, John Henry White, Tim White, Cullen White, Sam B. White and Epp White.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. John Silver and Rev. Carter Tucker officiating.Entombment will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday night.The family is at the home of Mrs. Gail Herring, 624 Milford Road, Hartwell.
