Mr. Howard Dean Brown, 78, of 250 Reed Creek School Road, Hartwell, died peacefully Thursday, June 20, 2013 at his home.

Born on October 20, 1934 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Teasley Brown and Nellie Jones Brown.Dean was the owner/operator of Dean Brown's Used Cars & Wrecker Service and he attended Price Chapel Church of God.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Bobbie White Brown; two sons: Ricky Brown of Hartwell, Kenny Brown and his wife Phyllis of Hartwell; two grandchildren: David Brown and his wife Elizabeth and Megan Brown both of Hartwell; and one great-grandchild, Jaxon Dean Brown also survives.Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Johnny Stowe, Rev. Mike King and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. just prior to the service.

Flowers are optional or special memorials may be made to the Charity of One's Choice.The family is at the home.
