Mr. Harold Terrell Chapman, age 63, of Hartwell, GA, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson, SC.

Born June 6, 1947 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Mary Herring Chapman and the late James Harold Chapman.He attended Emmanuel College and was a Graduate of Athens Tech.He was a retired Carpenter; a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War; a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church and the VFW.

Survivors include:Mother; Sons, Jeffrey Chapman and his wife Debbie of Royston, GA, John M. Chapman of Bowman, GA, Steven T. Chapman and his wife Heather of Sandy Cross, and Joshua P. Chapman of Hartwell, GA; Sisters, Norma Faye King of Ellijay, GA and Gail Hutchinson of Bluefield, VA; Grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Chapman, Austin Daniel Chapman and Alexis "Lexi" Brooke Chapman.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Dean Kring will officiate, with a special tribute by Mr. Chapman's sons and long time friends, Jerry Mauldin and Charlie Thornton. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Full Military Honors.
