Obituary

Mr. H. Emmett Craft, 89, of Fowler Road, Simpsonville SC, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center in Royston GA.

Born on March 21, 1924 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Joe Craft and Mattie Heaton Craft.Mr. Craft was retired from LWT Boiler Works where he was an Installation Supervisor, a WWII US Army veteran and a member of Sardis Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Roberta Moore and her husband James of Hartwell; a son in law, William Farmer of Guyton GA; a special friend, Louise Burdette of Simpsonville SC; three grandchildren, John Farmer & his wife Crystal, Tina Knowles & her husband Richard, Jana Graham & her companion Dusty Stancil and three great grandchildren, Madison Hackett, Parker Hackett, Ben Farmer also survive.Mr. Craft was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Farmer; a son-in-law, Melvin Graham; seven brothers and three sisters.

Memorial services will be Monday, December 30 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Memorial may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 855 Gaines School Road, Suite G, Athens GA 30605.
