Mr. Henry Wendell Rousey, 68, of Green Meadows Drive, Hartwell, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at his home.

Born on May 21, 1945 in Comer GA, he was the son of the late Henry Melvin Rousey and Pauline Shaw Rousey.He was retired from Dixie Granite Company, where he was a sandblaster.Mr. Rousey was a member of the Deep Creek Baptist Church, Dewy Rose.

Survivors include his wife, Sara Dutton Rousey; two sons: Richard Rousey & his wife Denise of Elberton and Henry Rousey of Hartwell; a daughter: Sandra Delfs & her husband Scott of Grundy Center Iowa; three brothers: Roger Rousey & James Rousey both of Iva SC and Paul Rousey of Conway SC; two sisters: Frances Guest of Elberton and Jeanette Fowler of Hartwell; seven grandchildren: Kenneth Schattney, Samantha Rousey, Matthew Rousey, Jonathan Rousey, Chelsea Delfs, Zachary Delfs and Parker Delfs.Mr. Rousey was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: J.W. Rousey & Gene Rousey and two sisters: Carolyn Phillips & Waydean Boarders.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., at the Deep Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Adams and Rev. Michael Emmett officiating.Burial will be in the Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
