Mr. Harlan Lee Slaven, age 42, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at Cobb Memorial Hospital.
Born December 16, 1969, in Gwinnett County, he was the son of Rosa Lee Slaven and the late George Slaven. He was a roofer. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Terri Slaven; daughters: Kayla Slaven and Mackenzie Slaven; son: Barry Slaven; grandson: Kaiden Slaven; sister: Marie Atwood; and brothers: Christopher Slaven, Charles Slaven, William Slaven, and Allen Slaven.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to defray funeral expenses.
