Obituary

Mr. Harold Louie Cleveland, 87, of 874 North Forest Ave, Hartwell, died Friday, August 14 peacefully at his home.

Born on April 25, 1922 in Hart Co. GA, he was the son of the late K. Henry Cleveland and Emma L. Jones Cleveland.He was a Brick Mason for over 54 years, a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, a deacon and former Sunday School Teacher.He was a WW II US Army Air Corps veteran, where he served in the European Theater.

He is survived by three sons, Tim Cleveland, Chris Cleveland, and Eric Cleveland all of Hartwell, GA; two daughters, Debbie Higginbotham and her husband David of Hartwell, GA and Karen Cleveland of Hartwell, GA; a sister, Evelyn Gaines of Anderson; five grandchildren, Jonathan Higginbotham, Angela Higginbotham, Morgan Yeagley, Bo Buffington and Cody Buffington; and one great grandchild, Cana Donald.Mr. Cleveland was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Janelle Hayes Cleveland; a grandchild, Tyler Yeagley; four brothers, Teasley Cleveland, Lavant Cleveland, Bill Cleveland and Joe Cleveland and three sisters, Irene Adams, Onie York and Gladys Cathey.

Funeral services will Sunday, August 15 at 4:00 p.m. at the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church with Dr. Donald Little & Rev. Keith McKenzie officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, 273 Mt. Hebron Rd, Hartwell, GA30643.
