Mr. Harold S. Holcomb, 90, of Sunnybrook Lane Hartwell, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at Comer Health & Rehab, Comer GA.
Born on December 29, 1928 in Colbert GA, he was the son of the late Jeff Holcomb and Sara Little Holcomb.Mr. Holcomb was a former Painter and Maintenance Worker for the Athens-Clarke County Housing Authority.He was also a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church and a U.S. Army, Korean War veteran.
Survivors include his daughter: Regina Middleton of Hartwell; a sister: Linda Moon of Anderson SC; a brother: Steve Holcomb of Athens GA and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Mr. Holcomb was preceded in death by his first wife: Helen Goss Holcomb; his second wife: Essie Helton Holcomb; a son: Gary Holcomb; a brother: William Holcomb and a sister: Patricia Watkins.
Mr. Holcomb wished to be cremated and a private memorial service celebrating Harold's life will held at a later date by the family.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
