Mr. Harold Edward Milford, 68, of 125 Sterling Drive, Hartwell, GA, died Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at his home.
Born June 17, 1936 in Hart County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Joel H. Milford and Clara Holbrooks Milford.He was a Brick Mason, and a Founder/Operator of A-1 Storage of Elberton, GA.He founded two local Speedways, and a Van Conversion Business. He was a member of Lake Hartwell Bass Club, Oak Bower Baptist Church, Men's Sunday School Class and served on various committees in the church.He was also a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include:Wife, Carol Isom Milford of the home; Son, Kenneth Milford and his wife, Lori of Buford, GA; Daughter, Debbie M. Bentley and her husband, Brian of Bowersville, GA; Two brothers, James Alton Milford of Hartwell, GA and Jimmy Milford of Hartwell, GA; Sisters, Sue M. Floyd of Hartwell, GA, Doris M. Agnew of Hartwell, GA and Lou Ann M. Chastain of Anderson, SC; and one grandchild, Victoria Bentley also survives.He is preceded in death by parents; three brothers, William Carey Milford, Joel M. Milford and Thomas B. Milford; and one sister, Frances Cleveland.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home in Hartwell with Rev. Harry Warren and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Entombment will be at Memorial Garden of Prayer with Rev. Dennis Dodge officiating.
