Mr. Harrison Floyd Brown, 85, of 1328 W. Main Street, Bowersville, GA, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born August 4, 1922 in Hart County, GA, he was the son of the late Theo Brown andMaude Howell Brown.He was retired from the textile industry.He was a member of Lavonia Church of God and a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by:Wife, Lorene Hill Brown of the home; Son, Tony Floyd Brown and his wife Vonnie of Bowersville, GA; Daughters, Evelyn Jackson and her husband Tom of Conyers, GA and Lillian Roberts and her husband Brad of Bowersville, GA; Sister, Ella Mae Newton of Anderson, SC; Six grandchildren and three great children also survive.He is preceded in death by Parents; Son, Freddie Harrison Brown; Daughter, Sylvia Brown; Brother, Winfred Brown and a Sister, Sudie Young.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Tyron Hutchinson and Rev. Ben Lumley will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Friday night from 7 – 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home.
