Mr. Harry "Dean" Bobo, 79, of Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at his home.

Born on October 22, 1940 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Harold Joseph Bobo and Dixie Idelia Greenway Bobo. Mr. Bobo was a former commercial painter and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sister: Emily B. Sanders of Hartwell; two brothers: Harold Eugene Bobo and Delvin L. Bobo, both of Hartwell; three nephews: Preston Sanders, Jason Sanders and Danny Bobo; and three nieces: Amanda Bobo, Jennie Gaines, and Virginia Sanders. Mr. Bobo was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: Sanford Ray Bobo and Billy Carey Bobo.

Because of the current conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family will not be having a formal visitation.They ask that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers in the coming days and weeks.

Dean will lie in state at the Strickland Funeral of Hartwell from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Thursday for anyone to come by and pay their respects.

Graveside services for Mr. Dean Bobo will be held Friday, June 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Fred Greenway officiating. Everyone will be asked to practice Social Distancing and may want to bring a lawn chair.
