Mr. Haskel Orien Gray, 80, of 1932 Bowersville Hwy, Bowersville, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Heardmont Nursing Home in Elberton GA.
Born on January 10, 1932 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late David Walter Gray and Nelar Blackwell Gray.He was retired from Hartwell Mills where he worked as a loom fixer and slash operator, and was also a member of Flat Shoals Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons: Haskell Gray, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Bowersville, Dale Gray and his wife Sandee of Canon; two daughters: JoAnn Moon and her husband Bobby of Elberton, Debra Gray of Anderson; one brother, Howell Gray of Hartwell; and three sisters: Eunice King of Anderson, Alma McGaha of Anderson, and Stella Crutcher of Interlachen, FL; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Lee Smith, Rev. Johnny Ashworth, and Rev. Michael Fugate officiating.Burial will follow in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.
