Haskell Quinn Gerrells, age 75, of Cornelia, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born October 8, 1945, in White County, he was the son of the late James and Snow (Dorsey) Cooley. Prior to retirement, he was a carpenter and bulldozer driver. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of forty years: Theda Matthews Gerrells; daughters: Julie Tench (Dennis Day) and Talisha Doby (Kenneth); grandchildren: Jordan King (LeAnne), Leona Doby, Heidi King, Casey King, Quintin King, Carson King, Titus Doby, and Kenley Doby; and great-grandchild: Adalynn Hicks.

The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2021 at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia with Rev. Courtney Umbehant officiating. Burial followed in Stephens Memorial Gardens.
