Mrs. Harriet Frances Niel "Hattie" Carter, 49, of Uly White Road, Hartwell, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at her home.

Born on August 16, 1973 in Jamestown NY, she was the daughter of Patricia Sheldon Smith and the late Jack Niel.

Survivors include her mother; a daughter: Ashleigh Carter of Hartwell; two sons: Brandon Pearson and Justin Pearson both of Hartwell; four grandchildren: Jayanna and Jaylee Walker and Nakyia and Kaidyn Harrison and two sisters: Gigi Whitaker of Fredonia NY and Fawn O'Guin of Conway SC.  Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her father; her husband: Timothy "Timbo" Carter and a brother: Jack Niel.

Mrs. Carter wished to be cremated and a memorial service to celebrate her life will held at a later date by her family.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
