Hattie Mae Richards Mitchell, age 95, of Lavonia, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at her home.

Born October 1, 1928 in New Bern, NC, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Lisbon Shaw Richards. She was a college graduate and before retirement worked as a Logistics Technician for the US Army.

She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law: Stephanie & Robert Flower; and her son: Courtney Mitchell; grandchildren: Ashley Flower, Brandon Brown (Xin Zhu Yu); great grandchildren: Isla Brown and Avin Brown; and her brother: William Thomas Hatch.

Mrs. Mitchell's request was to be cremated and no formal services are planned at this time.
