Mrs. Hazel Kathleen (Cobb) Bellamy, age 89, of Canon, died Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center.
Born May 3, 1924 in Martin, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Silas Cobb and Redola (Powell) Cobb. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman Bellamy.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Freddie & Marie Bellamy of Canon, Danny & Elaine Bellamy of Woodstock, Tony & Cindy Bellamy of North Augusta, and Jimmy & Tammie Bellamy of Midville, GA; brother: Hoyt Cobb of Martin; ten grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Lavonia with Rev. E. Davis Lacey and Rev. John Forbes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home of Freddie & Marie Bellamy, 2281 Bear Creek Road, Canon, GA 30520.
