Obituary

Ms. Hazel Edna Holland, 88, of 411 Cade Street, Hartwell, died Friday, October 7, 2011 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center.

Born on March 6, 1923 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Howell Lawson Holland and Grace McLeskey Holland.She retired from the Monroe Company and was a member of Reed Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son: Rufus Holland and his wife, Teresa, of Hartwell; one brother: Ray Holland of Hartwell; one sister: Loy Baker of Hartwell; six grandchildren: Angela Holland, Jason Holland, Christopher Plymel, Richard Plymel, Tracy Findley, and Darby Dutton; and twelve great grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Holland was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Howell Holland; and one sister: Ruby Banister.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Reed Creek Baptist Church with Mr. Fred Greenway and Rev. Sam Dulaney officiating.Burial will follow in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday night.The family is at the home of Rufus and Teresa Holland, 1007 Bio Lane, Hartwell, GA 30643.Floral arrangements are optional and memorials may be made to the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 116 Boleman Hill Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
