Mrs. Hazel Williams Wilson, 92, of 1785 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Hart County Hospital.
Born on November 6, 1919 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late A.R. Williams and Nancy Meredith Williams.She was a retired inspector at BASF and a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church where she was in the Coven Bailey Sunday School Class and served on the Women's Food Ministry.
Survivors include two sons: David Wilson of Hartwell, and Danny Wilson and his wife, Joylynn, of Hartwell; four grandchildren: Deanna Sanders, Andrea W. Ayers, Jinna W. Mouchet, and Chris Wilson; and eight great grandchildren: Alex Mouchet, Tripp Mouchet, Nicholas Wilson, Noah Ayers, Kaylee Wilson, Cameron Wilson, Ayla Sanders, and Kara Sanders.Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ranie Wilson; four brothers: Charles Williams, Henry Williams, Harold Williams, and Hugh Williams; two sisters: Mae Baker and Edna King; and one grandchild, Jennifer Lynn Wilson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Joe Black and Rev. Scott Mize officiating.Burial will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday.The family is at the home.Floral arrangements are optional and special memorials may be made out to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 2973 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
