Adelheid (Heidi) Anna Leopoldseder Hill, 73 of 4358 Dover Crossing Dr. Marietta GA.Heidi went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA after a long courageous battle with cancer.Heidi was born on July 26, 1942 in Schillingsfurst, West Germany and was the daughter of the late WilhelmEugene Leopoldseder and Louise Theresa Leopoldseder.Heidi was a member of the Transfiguration Church in Marietta, GA.Survivors include her husband Joe T. Hill; two sons Michael Leopoldseder and his wife Tanya and granddaughter, Julianne of Schillingsfurst, Germany; Markus R. Hill and his wife Pamela Boylan Hill, and their granddaughter, Nicole E. Hill of Macon, GA.Sisters Monica Straub of Niefern, Germany, Gaby Benzinger of Niefern, Germany, Christa Leopoldseder of Graham, Washington, Mathilde Renate Wells of Columbus, GA.Brother Ferdinand Friedrich Leopoldseder of Rosenheim, Germany.Heidi was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Laure Steffen of Stuttgart, Germany, Rosalinde Leopoldseder of Niefern, Germany and brothers, Willie Herman Leopoldseder of Schillingsfurst, Germany, and Karl Heinz Leopoldseder of Schillingsfurst, Germany.Heidi is also survived by her Brother-in-Law Charles Hill and his wife Nancy Hill, and Brother-in-Law, Dennis Hill.Sister-in-Law Carol Segers and husband Johnny Segers, Sister-in-Law Ann Isom and husband Jerry Isom, Sister-in-Law Eula Cleveland and her husband, Dennis Cleveland, and Sister-in-Law Emily Hill.
Heidi was a mother and wife of a career soldier, and a grandmother. She always placed family and friends before herself.Heidi was a beloved member of her community who loved and cherished her garden, the outdoors, and particularly loved the beach and always loved to cook and bake for her family and friends.Heidi also adored her granddaughter Nicole who often played "Make-Up" and "Dress-up" with Grandma Heidi. Heidi also supported other families and military wives while her husband, Joe was off at war.She was simply put a very genuine, loving, and caring person.
A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the Catholic Church of the Transfiguration located at 815 Blackwell Rd. in Marietta, GA with a Catholic priest officiating.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
