Mrs. Helen Byrum Brown, 96, of Cayuga Street, Hartwell, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Hart Care Center.
Born on October 12, 1918 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late P.L. Byrum and Texie McLane Byrum.Mrs. Brown was retired from Bellcraft Mfg. Company, where she was a spare hand and attended Price Chapel Church of God.
Survivors include her two daughters: Mary Frances Beard and her husband Frank and Joyce Myerholtz and her husband Jimmy all of Hartwell; four grandchildren: Clifford Beard, Michelle Buchanan, Annette Ross and Grant Myerholtz; seven great-grandchildren: Jessie, Keith, Mason, Frankie, Will, LilyAnn and Canaan and a great great-grandchild, Logan also survives.Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Thomas W. Brown; a grandson: Richard Beard and two sisters: Naomi Bratcher and Drucilla Phillips.
Funeral services will Tuesday, November 25 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Stowe and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
