Mrs. Sarah Helen Mann Hampton, age 79, of 1231 Melody Lane, Hartwell, died Sunday, September 23, 2007 at her home from Alzheimer's.
Born on August 18, 1928 in Hart County GA, she was the daughter of the late George E. Mann and Hattie O. Busby Mann.She was a homemaker and a member of the Hartwell First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years: John C. Hampton of the home; a son: Rick Hampton of Hartwell; two daughters: Pat Hampton and Brenda Hampton both of Los Angeles CA; a sister: Kathleen Cordell of Dewy Rose; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild also survives.She was preceded in death by a sister: Louise Chapman and three brothers: James Mann, Clark Mann and Charles Mann.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 25 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First Baptist Church with Rev. Carter Tucker and Rev. Rod Boatwright officiating.Burial will be in the Bio Baptist Church Cemetery.The body will be placed the church at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday night.The family is at the home.
