Mrs. Helen Frances (Tice) Mathews, age 90, of Lavonia, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at her home.
Born November 12, 1926, in East Liverpool, OH, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Eva (Jackson) Tice. She was Manager for the US Coast Guard Exchange.
She is survived by her grandsons: Michael Boggs, Ronald Boggs and Daniel Boggs; and a sister: Evelyn Umphries. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: David F. Mathews; sons: Daniel Boggs, Sr. and Dexter Boggs; and her brother: Frank Tice.
Mrs. Mathews request was to be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.
