Miss Nancy Henrietta Cantrell, 89, of Whippoorwill Trail, Hartwell, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson SC.

Born on May 26, 1929 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Starling Albert Cantrell and Currie Bailey Cantrell.She was a retired machine operator, working for Coats & Clark of Toccoa and was an Artist.Miss Cantrell painted several murals in churches in South Carolina and Georgia.She was a founding member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Hartwell.

Miss Cantrell is survived by several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters: Blanche Owens Carpenter, Clara Cantrell, Margie Cantrell and Curtis Cantrell and three brothers: Max Cantrell, Holden Cantrell and Olin Cantrell.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry Meeks officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening.The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, PO Box 721, Hartwell GA 30643.
