Mr. William Henry Dickerson, 79, of Fairview Avenue, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Brookdale of Anderson.

Born on February 7, 1943 in Elberton, GA, he was the son of the late Henry Hoke Dickerson and Eloise Temple Dickerson. Mr. Dickerson was a parts manager for Kesler Equipment Company of Lavonia and John Deere of Carnesville, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell, where he was a former deacon and member of the Hubert Milford Sunday School class. Mr. Dickerson was also a US Army veteran and served as a MP between 1967-1968 during the Vietnam War. Henry enjoyed remote controlled airplanes, riding motorcycles, and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife: Sybil Kesler Dickerson of Hartwell; son: Hank Dickerson (Rachel) of Canon; two daughters: Holly Jordan (Brad) and Jennifer D. Craft (Jason), all of Hartwell; and eight grandchildren: Kensley, Ryleigh, and Cooper Jordan, Larson, Ellie, and Brayden Craft, and Bree & Hoke Dickerson. Mr. Dickerson is preceded in death by his parents and sister: Susan Dickerson.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mr. Henry Dickerson will be held Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Hartwell with Dr. Stuart Lang and Rev. Carter Tucker officiating.  Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with military honors.
