Mr. Henry Lee Floyd, 75, of Hartwell, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025.

Born on July 18, 1949 in Abbeville, SC, he was the son of the late Henry Floyd and Mae Carter Floyd.  Mr. Floyd retired from Royston Corp. after 37 years working in Packing & Assembly, and he was a member of the Mt. Olivet Church of God. He loved working outside and running his wood splitting business. Henry also loved his chickens and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.

Survivors include his son: Dennis Floyd (Gail) of Hartwell; daughter: Tracy Seymour (David) of Comer, GA; two sisters: Sallie Holmes of Hartwell and Louise Wallace of Elberton; eight grandchildren: Cameron Floyd, Brock Seymour, Reece Seymour, Hank Seymour, Luke Seymour, Nicole Seymour, John Baker, Abie Todd; and six great-grandchildren: Aspyn Seymour, Halsten Seymour, Swae Seymour, Scout Seymour, Ryker Peele, and Rhett Peele. Mr. Floyd is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Melba Jean Pennington Floyd; one brother; and four sisters.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mr. Henry Floyd will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Bennett officiating.  Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
