Mr. Herbert J. "Herbie" Booth, age 75, of Hartwell, died Monday, March 6, 2017 at Hartwell Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness.
Born December 9, 1941, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Sarah (booth) Eaton and Clyde Fuller. He retired from Duke Power as a maintenance worker. He was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: James Timothy "Turtle" Booth; a wife: Jane (Sites) Booth; sister: Christine Davis; and brothers: Henry Eaton and Ronnie Fuller.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Chad and April Booth; his spouse of 31 years and mother to his sons: Dianne Booth; sister: Carolyn McCall; brother: Sonny Fuller; grandchildren: Timothy Booth, Phillip Booth; Keturah Dobbins; Sanora Booth, Rya Booth, and John Thomas Botsford; great-granddaughter: Isabel Dobbins; and special companion: Patsy Turnbull.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the Apostolic Tabernacle in Newton, NC with Rev. Joshua Bennett officiating. Memorials may be made to Apostolic Tabernacle, 327 W. 15th St, Newton, NC 28658.
