Herman Teasley Bailey, age 90, of Hartwell, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital
Born December 13, 1930, in Hart County, He was the son of the late Claude and Lola (Motes) Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a retired Egg Farmer. He was a US Army Veteran, having served during the Korean War. Mr. Bailey was a member of Providence United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Sandra Louise (Buffington) Bailey; sisters: Etta Mae Bailey and Opal Elrod; and brother: Harold Bailey.
He is survived by sons: Dwane Bailey & Lynn of Bowersville, Randy Bailey of Hartwell, Danny Bailey & Laurie of Bowersville, and Wilton Bailey of Hartwell; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
The graveside service with military honors will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Richard Huycke, Rev. Ken Buffington, and Rev. Doug Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Providence United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2395 Providence Church Road, Lavonia, GA 30553.
