Herman Junior "Bo" Morris age 85, of Lavonia, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Hartwell Health & Rehabilitation.
Born February 8, 1935, in Stephens County, he was the son of the late Alonzo and Lillie Mae Morris. He was a US Army veteran, where he served during the Korean War. He retired as a heavy equipment operator and was of the Christian faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Betty Harris Morris; and siblings: Louis Morris, Frank Morris, Devilla Morris, Myra Bohannon, and Herman Morris.
He is survived by two sons: James & Marjory Morris of Lavonia and Brian Morris of Brunswick. Three grandsons: Christopher & Bethany Waites Morris of Winder, Chad Hobson of Atlanta and Garrett & Abby Morris of Carnesville. One granddaughter: Elena Morris of Beavercreek, Ohio. Three great grandchildren: Brynleigh & Linkoln Morris of Carnesville and Audrey Morris of Winder. And nephew and niece: John & Victoria Bohannon.
The graveside service with military honors will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Lavonia City – Burgess Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Hugh Hendrickson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lavonia First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 176, Lavonia, GA 30553.
