Mr. Herman Brent Purcell, 43, of 6635 Bowman Hwy, Hartwell, died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Royston, GA.

Born on August 28, 1969 in Anderson SC, he was the son of Herman W. Purcell and Brenda Brown.He was self employed as an auto body repairman.

Survivors include his wife, Angela Dendy Purcell of the home; one son, Vance Purcell of Hartwell; one daughter, Paige Purcell of Hartwell; and one sister, Rhonda Ramsey of Royston.Mr. Purcell was preceded in death by a grandchild, Cameron Purcell.

Mr. Purcell's wishes were to be cremated.A memorial service will be Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Jim Carey officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.The family is at the home.
