Mrs. Hilda Elinor "Ozzie" Helfer Gressler, 95, of Rice Mill Road, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson, SC.

Born on January 6, 1924 in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Louis Helfer and Ruby Payton Helfer.Mrs. Gressler was a homemaker, loved sewing, hunting and fishing and was of the Episcopal faith.

Survivors include her husband: James R. Gressler; one son: James Minidis of Palmdale, CA; two grandchildren: James Minidis and Mike Minidis; and one niece: Karen Jones.

The family will receive friends Friday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Other times the family will be at the home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ozzie Gressler will be held on Friday, September 13 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland funeral Home with Deacon Barry Philips officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy hart Memorial Park.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
