Mr. Hoa V. Nguyen, 46, of Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at his home.

Born on August 9, 1976 in Ha Tien, Vietnam, he was the son of An Nguyen and Be Ngo. Mr. Nguyen was a poultry farmer and attended Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

He is survived by his parents An Nguyen and Be Ngo of Carnesville; one son: Tai Nguyen of Louisiana; one daughter: Carolyn Paluch of Louisiana; four brothers: Dan Nguyen of South Carolina, Kiet Nguyen of Georgia, Tuan Nguyen of Florida, and Xuan Doan of Massachusetts; and three sisters: Marianne Doan (Dung Tran) of Hartwell, Kieu Nguyen of Massachusetts, and Jennifer Doan of Monroe, GA. Mr. Nguyen was preceded in death by his brother: Sang Nguyen.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at the home.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Mr. Hoa Nguyen on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Rafael Castaño officiating. Mr. Nguyen will be cremated following the mass.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
