Jesse Howard Taylor, Jr., age 77, of Lavonia, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at his home.

Born December 7, 1943, in Rabun County, he was the son of the late Jesse Taylor, Sr. and Irene Hill Taylor. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Prior to disability, he worked as a fixer for Sibley Mill. Mr. Taylor was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his son: Randy Taylor; daughter: Rhonda Taylor; grandchildren: Joshua Taylor, Jessica Sosebee, Chris Thomas, and Mark Kloes, Jr.; great-grandchildren: Adriana Sosebee, Amberly Harris, Logan Kloes, Taylor Thomas, Brinsley Kloes; sisters: Judy Fawcett, Diane Teate, and Wanda Segars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Ivester Taylor; and sisters: Janie Patterson, Bonnie Patterson, Melrose Sims, and Ruth Gatchell.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m.
