Obituary
Mrs. Howardene Cooper Leathers, age 74 of 375 Old Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, Ga., died December 14, 2007 at Hartwell Healthcare Center.
Born August 14, 1933 in Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Howard Cooper and Thelma Settles Cooper. She and her late husband were retired owner-operators of Paragon Creative Productions. She was a member of The Way Church.
She is survived by: sons, Raymond "Butch" Goltz, Jr., of Canton, Ga., Christopher Goltz of Hartwell, Ga., and Shawn Leathers of Kingwood, TX, sister, Shirley Cooper of Mountain Home, Ark., and brother, Jim Cooper of Rockford, Il. Grandchildren, Jacob Goltz, Dustin Goltz, Jennifer Goltz, Kristen Goltz, Ike Leathers, Honr Leathers and Nicholas Leathers, great-grandchildren, Josh Goltz and Madison Goltz also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William J. Leathers and brother, Bob Cooper.
Memorial services for Mrs. Leathers will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. Lee Smith will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Hart County Relay for Life, 1610 Lightwood Road, Hartwell, Ga. 30643
