Mr. Hubert Manley Norton, Jr., age 67, of Lavonia, died Friday, September 10, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born April 25, 1943 in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Hubert and Celeste (Brewer) Norton, Sr. Mr. Norton was a technician with Parkdale Mills. He was of the Holiness faith.
He is survived by his wife: Mary (Wooten) Norton; sons: Scott Norton and Wesley Norton; daughters: Debra Taylor and Falon Moss; a niece who he loved like a daughter: Gina Burns; grandchildren: Blake Norton, Jace Norton, Chase Norton, Jacob Moss, and Tyler Moss; and brother: Ralph Norton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Herbert Norton.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Hubert Carter and Mr. Charles Dove officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home.
