Obituary

Born on August 3, 1921 in Hart County GA, he was the son of the late Leland Adams and Ruby Elrod Adams. He was retired from Monroe Automotive Shock Co. Mr. Adams was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church where he formerly served as a deacon and training union director.He also served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years: Earlene Hayes Adams of the home; a daughter: Carolyn Adams Bailey and Husband Don Bailey of Hartwell; a brother: Max Adams of Hartwell; sisters: Mary Heaton, Ann Adams, and Betty Little all of Hartwell.Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Dean Adams.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church with Dr. Donald Little and Rev. Ray Black officiating.The body will be placed in the church at 2:30. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night.The family is at the home.Flowers will be accepted or Memorials may be made to Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, 273 Mt. Hebron Rd., Hartwell, GA30643
