Mr. Hugh Daniel Byrum, 70, of 62 Deer Run Lane, Bowersville, died Sunday, December 5 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson SC.

Born on February 29, 1940 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Clyde Byrum and Jurlle Isom Byrum.He was retired from NVF and attended Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy White Byrum; a son, Terry Allen and his wife Vickie of Hartwell; grandchildren, Kelley and Bart Johnson of Hartwell and Tiffany Allen of Grayson; great-grandchildren, Emily and Carson Johnson of Hartwell; a sister, Betty Yeargin of Bowersville; a nephew, Ted and Christy Yeargin of Bowersville; a niece, Connie and Wesley Stovall of Lavonia; three great nephews, Colt and Ty Yeargin and Brian Stovall.Mr. Byrum was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rachel Roe.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 8 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Coleman and Rev. Connie Mack Bowers officiating. Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night.The family is at the home on 62 Deer Run Lane, Bowersville.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3636 Lavonia Hwy, Hartwell GA 30643.
