Mr. William Hugh Frye, 82, of Liberty Hill Road, Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Hart Care Center.

Born on May 22, 1935 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Jesse Claude Frye and Ida Zoe Seawright Frye.Mr. Frye was a retired Deputy Sheriff for the Hart County Sheriff's Department and a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Margaret Powell Frye, a daughter: Elaine Teasley and her husband Tony; two sons: Bill Frye and Bob Frye and his wife Becky all of Hartwell; eleven grandchildren: Adam Lee, Justin Lee, Jamie Lee, Nolan Jones, Jessie Frye, Jake Frye, Anna Frye, Erik Frye, Bethany Laffey, Josh Frye and Cody Frye; four great-grandchildren: Tristan Hooper, Teagan Hooper, Taige Hooper and Magnolia Lee; two sisters: Martha White and her husband Walter of Athens and Wilma Hardy of LaGrange also survive.Mr. Frye was preceded in death by his parents; a son: William Hugh Frye Jr; six brothers: Jake, Ralph, Inman, Owen, Lewis and Arlan Frye and two sisters: Imogene Cobb and Frances McLane.

A memorial service celebrating Hugh's life will held on Thursday, January 18 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.

The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.The family will be at the home.
