Mr. H. V. Kesler, age 79, died Friday, January 7, 2011 at his home following an extended illness.
Born March 8, 1931, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Henry Kesler and Luvie Addison Kesler. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 241. Before retirement, he was owner of Kesler's Paint & Body Shop. Mr. Kesler was a member of the Lavonia United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Kesler; son Mike Kesler; daughters: Valerie Williams, Lisa Avery, Maria Stanard, & Victoria Pollack; sisters: Hellon Moon, Pansy Martin, Lura Craft, & Rachel Collins; and numerous grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the Lavonia United Methodist Church with Rev. Randall Massengill officiating. A private entombment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The body will be placed in the church at 2:00 p.m.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at their respective homes. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the Lavonia United Methodist Church or to the Parkinson's Foundation.
