Mrs. Imogene Sara Holcombe Risner, 78, of 1277 Boleman Hill Road, Hartwell, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Hartwell Health Care Center.
Born on June 29, 1932 in Seneca, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ludlow A. Holcombe and Mary Fuller Holcombe.She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her husband: James "Roy" Risner; two sons: James Larry Risner and Jimmy Ray Risner of Hartwell; one daughter: Barbara Boleman of Bowman; two brothers: David Holcombe and Bobby Ray Holcombe of Iva; three sisters: Ellen Risner of Hartwell, Frances McAbee of Greer, and Betty McAbee of Townville; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.Mrs. Risner was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Marvin and B.C. Holcombe; and two sisters: Junnie Faye Ginn and Mary Ann Ashley.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Mr. Fred Greenway officiating. Burial will be in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday.The family is at their respective homes.
