Mrs. Ruth Inez Bratcher Cobb, 88, of  Hartwell, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Born on March 19, 1935 in Hartwell, she was the daughter of the late Dock Bratcher and O'Nell Carnes Bratcher. Mrs. Cobb was a retired seamstress for the Hartwell Garment Company, a caregiver, and a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church. She loved her beautiful flowers in her garden.

Survivors include one son: Alan Cobb of Hartwell; two daughters: Diane Seymour (Dewey) of Hartwell, Susan Cobb of Bowersville; one grandson raised in the home: Aaron Cobb (Hope) of Hartwell; a sister-in-law: Josephine Bratcher of Lavonia; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Cobb was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Johnny H. Cobb; two sons: Randy Cobb and Tony Cobb; two brothers: Max Bratcher and Kenneth Bratcher; and one sister: Merle McLane.

The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Inez Cobb will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Sean Payne officiating.  Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
