Mrs. Mary Inez Lawrence Holland, 89, of Hartwell, passed away Sunday, November 30 2025 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.

Born on March 4, 1936 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Albert Lawrence and Mary Rosalee Segars Lawrence.  She was a retired seamstress from the Hartwell Company and a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed working outside in her flower beds and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons: Doug Holland and Steve Holland (Patti); one daughter: Donna Fowler (Chris) all of Hartwell; one brother: Bob Lawrence of Hartwell; three sisters: Annie Ruth Burrell, Faye Turner (Barry), Evelyn Gaines all of Elberton; four grandchildren: Nick Holland, Josh Fowler (Laura), Scarlett Thornton (Colby), Kristen Carruth (Cullen); eleven great-grandchildren: Bailey Mitchell, Sarah and Sadie Carruth, Jacob and Jace Fowler, Huntleigh Holland, Tatum Holland, Arizona Thornton, Braxton Thornton, Lawson Thornton and Stetson Thornton; one great-great grandchild: Jasper Mattox.

Mrs. Holland was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Howell C. Holland; one granddaughter: Keri Holland; five brothers: John Lawrence, Billy Lawrence, Jimmy Lawrence, Gene Lawrence, and Charles Lawrence; three sisters: Kathleen Buffington, Viola Clark, and Betty Carruth.

A service to celebrate of life for Mrs. Inez Holland will be Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is assisting the family with all of the arrangements.
